Serie McDougal III, Ph.D.

Dr. Serie McDougal III, inaugural Founding Series Editor of The Little Black Book Series: Research Methodology, Theory & Praxis, spearheaded the development of the scholarly vision conceived and established by the Founder and Publisher of Universal Write Publications. Through his distinguished expertise in research methodology, commitment to Black Studies, and sustained editorial leadership, Dr. McDougal championed the transformation of that vision into a rigorous collection advancing Black Studies as both a distinct academic discipline and an intellectual tradition informing research across disciplines and the global African world.

His contributions reflect a shared conviction that building an enduring academic canon requires clear declarations of purpose, scholarly rigor, intellectual discipline, and a commitment to research integrity within academic discourse. Now serving as Founding Series Editor Emeritus and Editorial Advisor, Dr. McDougal provides continuity of the intellectual foundations he helped establish while welcoming new scholars, theoretical frameworks, and methodologies.
